Discipleship, OUR JOB!

DISCIPLESHIP, OUR JOB!

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:33 KJV

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Matthew 19:29 KJV

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 9:37,38 KJV

For many are called, but few are chosen.
Matthew 22:14 KJV

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?   Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:24‭-‬26 KJV

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;  And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Acts 2:44‭-‬45 KJV

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34‭-‬35 KJV

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;   And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31‭-‬32 KJV

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:8 KJV

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.   Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:8‭, ‬16 KJV

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:19‭-‬20 KJV

COMMENTARY

A disciple is one who follows the teachings of Christ.

A disciple forsakes everything, walks with Hesus, follows Jesus and lives with Jesus! This is the mere difference between Christians and disciples.

You will never know the fullness of the  joy of serving God, Light or humanity to the utmost until you have forsaken all to follow Jesus Christ.

If God is worth serving at all, He is worth serving all the way!

If the Devil can't keep you from being a Christian, he'll do all he can to keep you from being a revolutionary Christian.

Time and time again, Jesus' acid test for His prospective disciples was if they were willing to forsake all, drop everything, leave it all behind and follow him.

This is always the greatest witness to others: When you really give up everything & forsake all to follow Jesus and devote your full time service to Him!

Jesus bought and paid for us, we're His property, we belong to Him now! You don't just belong to yourself anymore, & you can't just do as you please.

You either work for God, or you're going to have to work for the Devil!-- The choice is yours.

If you want to follow Jesus 100% you have got to forsake all and preach the Gospel!

If you choose God's way, when you see Jesus and the results your going to know it was worth it all. Giving your life to His service is an eterneternal investment that will pay dividends in Heaven and souls for ever and ever and ever!

"Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation" that might lead you astray from the straight and narrow way which leads to the highest crown and greatest reward! ( Matthew 26:41, 7:13,14, Philippians 3:13,14)

Only one life, 'twill soon be past! Only what's done for Christ will last! What are you doing? For whom? Will it last forever for Jesus and others?

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose! It's better to die for something than to live & die for nothing! Start living TODAY-- There's only ONE WAY-- For  Jesus!
