DISCIPLESHIP, OUR JOB! So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:33 KJV http://bible.com/1/luk.14.33.KJV And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. Matthew 19:29 KJV Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37,38 KJV For many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14 KJV No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life mor

Love Thine Enemies?

To clearly understand what this means, we must look at the word for "love" that Jesus uses... Agape.  Agape - the Greek word used for "love" in reference to love thy neighbor, and love thine enemy. -to love, value, esteem, feel or manifest generous concern for, be faithful towards; to delight in, to set store upon. What exactly does this mean, and how do we execute this "love" in our daily lives as Christians? Jesus tells us in many references to "love" our neighbors as ourselves (whom could be anyone, of any faith),  and to love our enemies : Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.   This is the first and great commandment.   And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.   On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37‭-‬40 This, meaning we can shut the books of the law and walk in Love alone. Ye have h

A Christmas Miracle of Healing

I was 15. I was a mischievous, sad, malnourished teen, full of confusion and hatred. My dad thought I was a whore, and the whole school though I had never even kissed. For some reason, I was a target of malice. Many lies flowed through the hallways about me. My diet consisted of Pop Tarts, Ramen Noodles and Soda. I never drank water. I never ate fruit. I rarely ate vegetables, except those in season from dad's garden. It was the first day of Christmas break, winter solstice of 1993. I was so excited to party with my friends. We smoked pot and drank beer. Other people at the party were doing other drugs, but I promised myself I would not do hard drugs. I passed out on the couch at about 10:00 pm, and next thing I knew it was about 2:00 am and I had to crawl my way into the bathroom. I pulled myself up with the sink, vomited, washed my face off and forced my head up to look into the mirror...  My eyes were blood red. Not just blood shot, but the veins popped... solid blood
